A unique and inspirational gift from NI Travel Magazine As We sponsor César
César, a 29-year-old man from rural Piñas, Ecuador, is dedicated to buying and selling cattle. He is single, works independently, and is keen to grow his business within the community.
César’s passion for working with animals began with the help of his grandfather, who gifted him his first cow, thereby sparking his interest in livestock. Since then, he has expanded his business, increasing the number of bulls he raises and selling an average of 13 bulls annually.
His microenterprise generates a monthly income of £611.75, and his additional work as a day labourer on nearby farms brings in £156.86.
After covering his business-related expenses, he has a net monthly profit of approximately £570.96, which has enabled him to acquire some furniture and essentials to improve his home gradually.
Despite his hard work, César faces challenges, particularly the droughts that affect his region and complicate cattle rearing.
Nevertheless, César has adapted to these challenges and continues working with dedication and love for his animals.
He has requested a loan to purchase additional bulls to help him grow his business further. The loan will be repaid in 8 quarterly instalments.
