It was the sound of summer last year, and now the UK’s consumer champion, Jet2, is inviting customers to be part of the advert that everyone is talking about through a new competition. Putting the responsibility of capturing and showcasing unforgettable holiday memories into the hands of the people living them, the leading leisure airline and the UK’s largest tour operator is offering customers the chance to be its newest “Nothing beats” stars and feature in its next advert.

All they need to do to get involved is send Jet2 a clip of their best ‘nothing beats a Jet2holiday’ moment, with the best ones featuring in Jet2’s upcoming adverts.
Just like Jet2’s famous adverts, the footage should capture four to six seconds of someone looking into the camera while on holiday, so it feels like the camera is another person interacting with them. Customers have until 31st July to submit their holiday footage.

Once the clip has been filmed, all customers need to do is head to nothingbeats.co.uk to submit the footage, fill in a form, confirm the destination they visited, and provide a short review of their stay. All entries will be reviewed and selected in-house by Jet2’s award-winning marketing team.

This will hit screens across the UK from this year, with the signature track ‘Hold My Hand’ by Jess Glynne once again providing an upbeat and recognisable backdrop.

Part of an integrated brand campaign, the customer-centred clips will appear on multiple streaming platforms, including broadcast TV, YouTube and video-on-demand, as well as social media campaigns, CRM and on Jet2’s website.

Holidaymakers whose clips are selected to feature in the advert will also be automatically entered into a giveaway, with the winner chosen at random. The prize up for grabs is a seven-night 4* Jet2holiday to Dalaman in Turkey staying at the Orka Lotus Beach Resort. 

The UK’s largest tour operator and third-largest airline have confirmed plans to operate as normal this summer, following positive updates from fuel suppliers reporting increased production and additional imports of jet fuel.

As well as leading the way by not cancelling flights and looking after customers, Jet2 was the first UK airline and tour operator to reassure customers that it will not introduce surcharges on any booked flights or holidays to cover cost increases, such as jet fuel. Put simply, the price at which customers book with Jet2 is the price they will pay. In an industry-leading move, Jet2 removed the surcharge provision across all flights and holidays, even though it had never been applied.
